Corporate Compliance

Lifetime Assistance is committed to ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations and the highest standards of ethical practices.

  1. Compliance with Applicable Laws, Regulations, Rules, Policies, and Standards. Contractor agrees to comply with all applicable Federal and New York State laws, rules, regulations, policies, and standards applicable to the services provided by Contractor to LAI, including, but not limited to, laws, rules, regulations, policies, and standards pertaining to fraud, waste, and abuse and Compliance Program activities.  Contractor represents and warrants that it is not excluded or debarred by a Federal or State health care program.
  2. Compliance Program Standards of Conduct, Policies, and Procedures. Contractor agrees to abide by LAI’s Compliance Program Standards of Conduct.  Contractor also agrees to make LAI’s Compliance Program Standards of Conduct that are available to Contractor available to all employees of Contractor who provide services to LAI pursuant to the underlying Agreement.
  3. Fraud, Waste, and Abuse and Compliance Program Training. Contractor agrees that all of its employees who provide services pursuant to the underlying Agreement will participate in fraud, waste, and abuse and Compliance Program training within thirty (30) days of hire and at least annually thereafter and are not excluded or debarred by a Federal or State health care program.
  4. Reporting Compliance Issues, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse and Compliance Program Concerns. Contractor agrees to report compliance issues, fraud, waste, and abuse, and Compliance Program-related concerns to LAI.  Reporting should occur within five (5) days of discovery.  LAI has a no-tolerance policy for retaliation or retribution against any employee, contractor, or Medicaid Program beneficiary service recipient.
  5. Termination for Failure to Comply with Compliance Program Standards of Conduct. Contractor agrees that LAI may immediately terminate the underlying Agreement in the event that LAI, in its sole determination, finds that Contractor has failed to adhere to LAI’s Compliance Program Standards of Conduct.
