Assists in overseeing and performing painting duties, minor repairs and general upkeep of facilities, equipment, and fixtures. Oversees the daily maintenance workloads to assure assignments are completed in a quality and timely manner. Converses with the Maintenance Coordinator throughout the day to discuss changes to work assignments as they pertain to priority changes to meet the needs of the facilities. Assists in moving equipment and supplies as needed. Assists in overseeing and performing minor remodeling projects. Works independently on both short term and long term range projects as assigned by the Maintenance Coordinator. Provides input to the Maintenance Coordinator as the performance of assigned Maintenance Workers. Assumes responsibility for the processing of routine paperwork, including but not limited to: monthly allocation sheet submittals, bi-weekly timesheets, completed work requests, including all associated pars, materials and supplies receipts, etc.

Acts as on call supervisor for the Maintenance Department on a rotating schedule.


Experience with maintenance and upkeep of facilities.  Experience in operating maintenance equipment preferred. Must meet LAI’s Vehicle Operator Requirements.

Two year applicable degree with ten years maintenance experience including minimum of 2 years supervision; or High School Diploma with 15 years of experience with 2 years supervision or an acceptable combination of education, experience and supervision of the above qualifications.
