Where Your Money Goes
By lending your support to the Lifetime Assistance Foundation, you are giving the gift of opportunity. Your contribution is an investment in our community and improves the lives of many with developmental disabilities. Every gift, regardless of its size, makes a difference. Each year, the Foundation helps to support special projects and programs that would otherwise not be possible through traditional funding sources. They include:

Educational Gifts
Investing in the education and career development of Lifetime Assistance employees is a priority for the Foundation, which has awarded more than $30,000 in educational scholarships for employees furthering their education in the Human Services field.

Community Recreation Program
The Lifetime Assistance Community Recreation Program has been awarded thousands of dollars in grants for recreational activities, Special Olympics, athletic passes and special trips.

Grants
Grants from the Lifetime Assistance Foundation have made it possible for many individuals to attend an annual statewide Self-Advocacy Conference that helps empower people with developmental disabilities.

Family Reimbursement Program
The Lifetime Assistance Family Reimbursement Program provides assistance to families who care for their family member with a developmental disability at home. In many instances, a cash grant can make a great difference in the lives of those families. Many of the requests are for the very basic life essentials including beds and other furniture, winter clothing and boots, adaptive equipment and communication devices.

Vocational Services
Donations to Lifetime Assistance Foundation are also used toward training equipment and machinery to enhance opportunities for individuals employed in the LAICO work center.
